KPSF along with the Estonian Society of Wounded Warriors donated a new basketball court to the Tapa Military Base in eastern Estonia. There are nearly 100 US soldiers serving alongside our NATO allies on this base. Estonia had the 2nd highest death rate of our NATO partners (on a per capita basis) in Afghanistan coming to our defense following the 9/11 attack on the United States.

Beginning May 8, 2013 through the duration of their 9 month deployment in Afghanistan, the thirty-four soldiers of 1st Platoon, 87th Sapper Company – Fort Hood, TX, were being sponsored by citizen participants of the Kaplan Public Service Foundation. Sponsors committed to each soldier personal correspondence, care packages and moral support while they serve in Afghanistan.
